It's now faster and easier to use

Since it was released in November last year, Project Plan.com has gone from an early Beta version of the software to a stable, solid way of managing projects. We've fixed almost all of the known bugs in the software and made it faster and easier to use.

We've changed the menu navigation to make it more intuitive so that after install, it only takes a few minutes to find your way around. You can now quickly and easily, create tasks, assign resources and build a schedule to be proud of. If you have a PDF writer, you can now print to PDF and share your plan with your colleagues.

Over the next 6 months, we're going to make the software even faster so that it works at "warp speed". We're then going to improve the printing control and finally, integrate with commonly used software on your desktop. So watch this space.

Oh - and we've also released a new Project Planning Blog where we're releasing new articles every week to help you plan projects. We're glad to be of service!

Vision for new Project Software

The vision for ProjectPlan.com was released today, by Project Manager Online Ltd. "Our Vision is to become the leading online project planning tool, worldwide" says the ProjectPlan.com CEO. "We also own www.ProjectManager.com and this uses the same planning software, except that it is available online. We have tens of thousands of people around the world using the software, and it's growing quickly."

ProjectPlan.com and ProjectManager.com are similar concepts, in that they both allow users to plan their projects. In fact, they both use the same software to produce the Gantt Charts. There are two key differences between the two sites. Firstly, ProjectManager.com is an online offering, whereas ProjectPlan.com is software that you download to your PC. The second key difference is that ProjectManager.com includes a wealth of other features to help manage projects, such as a Dashboard, Advanced Reports and the ability to manage risks, issues and changes. It also includes document management features which allows users to be able to upload and manage documents online.

Project Planning Software Released

ProjectPlan.com was released today, to its worldwide audience. The software rivals Microsoft Project as it helps people to plan their projects faster and easier than before. Currently, most people use spreadsheets or other documents to plan their projects. Using ProjectPlan.com, those people can now use intelligent software to plan projects to deliver them on time and under budget.

The software contains these key features:

• Create task lists and build task hierarchies
• Schedule tasks to complete when you wish
• Assign resources and set milestones
• Add notes and color to tasks as you like
• Link tasks together to create dependencies
• Build entire project plan schedules
• Print Gantt Charts and project plans

New Project Plan Software Coming

Project Manager Online Ltd today announced its intention to release a new website for Project Planning. The website will allow people to download software and install it on their PC, so that they can plan their projects on their desktop.
The software is written in Microsoft .net and helps people to create a task list and then schedule those tasks, through the use of a Gantt chart.

As well as being able to list tasks in the software and create task hierarchies, it also allows people to schedule resources such as people, equipment and materials. Users can link tasks together, as well as lock tasks and add alerts.

One of the more advanced features is the ability to set a baseline and view the actual vs. planned and baseline views all at the same time. The product will be released in less than 4 weeks time and is positioned to be leading the field from the outset.
