This software helps you plan projects. You use it to list all of the tasks that you need to complete, to deliver a project from start to finish. You can then schedule the start and end date of each task and track its percent complete.

Other than Microsoft Project, there are no other professional Project Planning Software tools that you can download to your PC and use to plan projects efficiently. Microsoft Project is the only other toolset in the market that allows you to do this, however it's expensive and not as intuitive to use.

This software suits all types of projects. We have customers using it in industries such as construction, engineering and telecommunications as well as consulting, finance and government, to name a few. It also suits all sizes of projects, whether they are small, medium or large.

We used Microsoft development technologies to build the application, so while it will likely work in a Windows emulated environment on an Apple Mac, we don't support the Apple Mac platform at this stage. We only support Windows PCs, laptops or other devices.

Project Plan and Microsoft Project are very similar software packages. They both allow you to plan your projects on your desktop. The key difference between the two is that Microsoft Project suits very advanced users with a high level of knowledge of project management and are willing to spend the time learning how to use the advanced features. Our software suits Project Managers with all levels of experience, as the features are much simpler and more intuitive to use. You need training in Microsoft Project to be able to use it properly. You don't need training in our software.

This software is identical to the "Tasks" page within ProjectManager.com. In fact we own both ProjectManager.com and ProjectPlan.com. The key difference between the two is that ProjectManager.com is online software and ProjectPlan.com is downloadable software. However, ProjectManager.com also has a wealth of additional features, such as a dashboard, advanced reporting and the ability to manage timesheets, expenses, risks, changes and issues. You can also store your project documents online.

Yes, you can join as a reseller or affiliate to ProjectPlan.com. Click on the Support page and select to join either program. Note: We do not offer country wide reseller or distributorship licenses at this stage.

While we can help answer any questions you have on our product, by email or telephone, we don't offer formal training programs in the use of our products. Our products are incredibly intuitive, so you shouldn't need a lot of training to be able to use them to a proficient level.

As long as you have a PC with Windows XP or later operating system, then you should be able to use this software. Your PC will likely have Microsoft .net already installed, but if it doesn't then the installation process will recognize it and install it automatically for you.

Go to www.ProjectPlan.com and click on the free download button. Then download and run the small application to kick off the installation process. This process will take between 5 and 10 minutes to run, depending on how fast your internet connection is. It needs to download a file that is 25 MB in size, it takes a while to do this. Once downloaded, the rest of the installation process should be fairly intuitive to run.

Once you have purchased a serial number, you need to enter it into the software to license it on your PC. Part of this process involves what we call the "activation process" which is the process with which your PC tells your database that the license has been entered, so that the software can lock itself to your PC. This enforced license agreement comes with the software, so that you only use the software on the number of PCs for which you have purchased licenses.

You can activate online or manually. If you choose to activate online, then the system will connect to our activation database across the internet to perform the activation manually. If you choose to activate manually, then you will need to send us the code that is generated from the system and we will enter it into our Activation Database at our end and then email you some "unlock codes". Then enter the codes in your software, to complete the process. If this sounds complex, don't worry. The software will take you through what you need to do, one step at a time.

Yes, we have a security certificate with 129bit encryption. When you pay online at ProjectPlan.com, you have the same level of security as your personal online banking login.

Yes, we accept purchase orders from all companies that have an online presence, so we can validate the purchase order details. You need to email us from your company email account and the purchase order needs to be on company letter head and have the usual purchase order terms and conditions (e.g. for payment) enclosed.

Yes, please visit www.ProjectPlan.com and click on the "Buy" button at the top to go to our shopping cart. You will see a drop down that allows you to buy multiple licenses at the same time. You will receive a discount on all multiple user licenses purchased.

Currently all minor upgrades are free. We will likely implement charging for all major upgrades (like Microsoft have), over the next 12 months. When we do this, the upgrade information will be made available in our shopping cart.

We do not offer refunds because we believe that the free trial process gives you sufficient time to be able to try before you buy.

Yes, your entire team can use this software to better plan their projects. However if you all want to login to share your plans online then signup for ProjectManager.com

Yes, this software is compatible with Microsoft Project. 99% of the time, you can import and export Microsoft Project Plans freely, less than 1% of the time, there are idiosyncrasies with Microsoft Project which means the plan will not import smoothly. If this happens, then please email us the plan and we will look into it for you. Note: The inability to import a project plan from Microsoft Project does not qualify for a refund.

There are very few limits with this software. You can import, export and create as many project plans as you wish. The only limit in place is that for imports from Microsoft Project must be less than 10 MGs in file size.

Yes. To do this, uninstall the license from your PC, using the Windows Control Panel. Then reinstall the trial version from ProjectPlan.com. Then re-enter your license and activate online. If you have any reinstallation problems, then please email us and we will help you complete the re-installation process.
